What does Occasional Words do exactly?
Occasional Words sells
complete, customizable speeches, written by our team of professional
speechwriters. We have speeches appropriate for nearly every public
speaking situation, from “Father of the Bride” to “Moving from the
Neighborhood” to “Accepting a Promotion.” Every speech we offer can be
delivered with minimum preparation; at the same time, each is designed
to allow the speaker to insert memories, stories, and other personal
touches.
How can I “customize” speeches from Occasional Words?
In
addition to leaving clearly designated spaces where you can insert key
information like names and dates, every speech has clearly marked
sections for your personal stories. In many cases, we even provide
specific suggestions for the tone, length, and type of personal touch
to include. Plus, we give you two speeches fit for your occasion, not
just one -- so you have the flexibility to choose what works best. You
can even incorporate parts you like of one speech into the other.
How long are your speeches?
Occasional
Words speeches are between 200 and 500 words long. That means they take
between two and five minutes to deliver to an audience, before you add
personal stories or memories.
Is there any way I can see the speech before I order?
No,
but check out our “Samples” section at the top of your screen for some
examples of Occasional Word speeches; you’ll get a clearer sense of
what to expect!
How much do your speeches cost?
For US $17-$27, you’ll receive at least two speeches.
What do I get for my US$17 - US$27?
You’ll get ast least two different, complete, customizable speeches appropriate for your occasion.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal. Unfortunately, we don’t take cash or personal cheques.
How do I know it’s safe to enter my credit card information?
Occasional
Words uses InternetSecure, a highly secure third-party transaction
service that has been processing credit card payments online since
1995. As the merchant, we never see your credit card information. We
simply receive notification from InternetSecure of your contact
information, delivery preferences, and the fact that your credit card
has been approved.
How will the charge appear on my credit card statement?
It will appear as a charge from “Internet Secure care of Occasional Words”.
My transaction isn’t being approved. Why?
If
the address you provide is different from your credit card billing
address, our third-party transaction process can’t authorize the
transaction. If that doesn’t solve the problem, try contacting your
credit card company.
How long will it take to receive my speeches?
Your
speeches will apppear on the Web page once your order is
approved. We also follow up with a backup copoy of your speeches
via email just in case. In the vast majority of cases, your
backup speeches will arrive in your e-mail inbox within minutes.
What if I don’t receive my speeches?
If you don’t receive your speech within 20 minutes of confirming your order, don’t hesitate e-mail us at info@occasionalwords.com with your invoice number.
What is your refund policy?
If
you don’t receive your speech within 20 minutes of confirming your
order, please-mail us at info@occasionalwords.com with your invoice
number. If you don't receive your speeches within 24 hours of your
initial order we will refund your payment in full. Alternatively, you
can choose to receive two additional speeches (one order) free of
charge.
Can I order speeches to be delivered to someone else?
Yes. Simply use the e-mail address of the person to whom you’d like the speeches sent on the order form.
What electronic format will my speeches come in?
Your speeches will be sent to you as text in the body of the e-mail.
I use a Mac. Will I be able to view/edit my Occasional Words speeches?
Yes. Simply save the attached text speeches in the word processor of your choice.
My speeches aren’t what I expected. What can I do?
Occasional
Words offers a money back guarantee. Simply e-mail us at
return@occasionalwords.com, and explain the reason you’re disappointed.
We’ll credit your credit card for the amount of the transaction, less a
US$2 refund cost levied by our third-party transaction processing
service.
I don’t see the kind of speech I’m looking for. What can I do?
By
clicking on “Suggest a Speech” at the top of your screen, you can
recommend new types of speeches for Occasional Words to offer. If we
choose your topic, we’ll send you free copies of the completed speeches.
Do you provide private speech coaching?
Unfortunately,
we just don’t have the resources to provide individual coaching. But
click on the Speaking Tips tab on our home page for our proven
pointers on giving great speeches.
Can you write me a completely customized speech?
Our
speeches are specially designed to be extremely easy to personalize,
inviting you to insert relevant information, stories and memories. So,
while we don’t write fully customized speeches, our customers can!
What is Occasional Words’ privacy policy?
Our
customers’ information will not be sold or rented to any other
party. The information will only be used to process your
transaction and to advise you of new offerings in the future.
